About this role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider with our Safe and Healthy Families team, you will work with healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you will provide care to pediatric patients at Tooele County Children's Justice Center.
The Children’s Justice Centers are a home-like facility serving children who may have been physically or sexually abused. The center is designed to help children feel safe and comfortable, with a child-friendly atmosphere and the interview rooms are designed with children in mind. Children visit the center while investigators and a medical team meet with them and their parents.
The role of the APP is to conduct medical examinations, assessments, and partner with the child and family care team to ensure the well-being of the child.
This position allows for flexible scheduling. The APP will typically work 8 hours per week, thought hours may be variable to meet patient care needs.
What you’ll bring:
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Highly Preferred: prior pediatric APP experience.

Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
