FQHCs treat patients regardless of ability to pay, and they are staffed heavily by nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse midwives, and CRNAs.
This site lists 1,860 open advanced practice roles across 2,103 hiring health centers. Listings come from each employer’s own careers page, and you apply on their site rather than through us.
Right now the largest number of open health center roles are in California, Washington and New York. Every state has its own page listing the health centers hiring there.
The most common openings on this site are in Family Practice, Pediatrics and Psychiatry. Most are outpatient primary care, and many are full scope with no call.
Many do. The National Health Service Corps repays student loans for clinicians who work at approved sites in shortage areas, and most FQHC sites qualify. Award amounts depend on the site’s shortage score and whether you work full or part time. Eligibility is set by the site, not the job, so confirm the site’s status with the employer before you count on it.
Yes. Health centers hire new graduates more readily than most hospital systems, and many offer structured onboarding because they are also teaching sites. Individual postings state their own experience requirements.
