Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Certified Midwife at their Monticello site. This role involves planning, evaluating, and delivering healthcare to patients, with an emphasis on preventive health measures and patient education. The Certified Midwife will work in consultation with physicians for high-risk patients, contributing to the organization's mission of providing comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services to all, especially the underserved and vulnerable.

Responsibilities

Take histories, perform physical examinations, and prescribe treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of specialty
Provide on call and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated
Perform deliveries as outlined in midwifery protocols and practice privileges
Design and participate in quality assurance activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits and focused reviews
Provide supervision for clinical activities of nursing personnel in department, including review of protocols, telephone triage and follow-up procedures
Coordinate tests, referrals and care of patients outside the Health Center
Set standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within specialty; participate in the development of programs to carry out these standards
Provide accurate and legible documentation of care

Compensation

Sign On Bonus: $3,500 for Eligible External Applicants - Terms and Conditions Apply
Full time Salary: $141,650.60 - $150,277.40

Requirements

Master's degree with Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwifery to practice in New York State
1 year of work related experience
