Job Overview

Horizon Behavioral Health, PLLC (HBH) is seeking a compassionate and Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact in a rural and underserved community.

The provider will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation services within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team that includes psychologists, therapists, certified peer specialists, and care coordination staff.

We offer outpatient mental health services, supportive housing programs, integrated behavioral healthcare, and community-based support services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan.
• Provide medication management services.
• Develop and oversee treatment plans in collaboration with therapists and care team members.
• Review clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Consult with clinical staff regarding patient treatment needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate electronic health record documentation.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.

Qualifications Required

• Degree from an accredited school.
• Experience in Psychiatry.
• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain. Other state licenses are a plus.
• DEA registration.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred

• Experience treating adults, children, or both.
• Experience in outpatient community behavioral health settings.
• Experience with telepsychiatry.
• Interest in serving rural and underserved populations.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams.
