Artesia is located in southeastern New Mexico, nestled between the two larger cities of Roswell to the north and Carlsbad to the south. The Texas border is less than 100 miles away to the east and the beautiful mountains.

THE JOB:
Full-time Wound Care NP or PA
-- focuses on evaluating and treating wounds (Outpatient)
-- Some inpatient care responsibilities to include inpatient consultations.
-- Able to formulate a treatment plan for chronic and acute wounds, including venous, arterial, pressure, neuropathic and atypical ulcers.
-- Familiar with wound dressings, skin substitutes and Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment.
-- Minor procedures: Incision and drainage of abscesses, sharp debridement of skin, tissue, muscle and bone
-- Prescribe medications and treatment to include management of IV antibiotics.
-- Solid knowledge of standards of care and wound care treatment protocols.
-- Good report with Patients/staff/visitors
-- SUPPORT: General Surgeon to provide provider supervision.

REQUIREMENTS
-- At least 2 years experience in Wound Care
-- Must be ACLS certified
-- Certification in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (or willing to get certified)

SCHEDULE:
--Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (No call or weekends)

START DATE: As soon as licensed and available.
