Baptist Health is recruiting a Provider Quality and Resource Manager to join their Cardiology practices in Lexington, KY.
The Provider Quality and Resource Manager coordinates and directs the delivery of services for Cardiology providers by facilitating the direction of human and physical resources and adjusting the daily operations to meet the changing needs/ environment.
This position identifies problem areas, analyzes the situation and develops and implements process improvements. The Provider Quality and Resource Manager maintains staffing for the cardiology extenders and develops a highly skilled team through education, evaluation, and consistent feedback. This position helps establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effective practice for all clinical needs with extenders and physicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the cardiology extenders in cooperation with their supervising physician and the practice Medical Director.
Manages the Billing Tool Coordinator to coordinate the Extender resource to assist the physician in performing daily rounds, patient care, and discharges.
Coordinates provider schedules to achieve optimal coverage for the various settings served.
Covers clinics where deemed necessary for planned and unplanned vacancies.
Work collaboratively with other Cardiology managers and supervisors on shared projects.
Coordinates the Extender resource to monitor patients during cardiac stress testing and MRI (for device patients).
Works to research, plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate meeting MU goals and objectives.
Serves as liaison to Hospital providers for EHR documentation in both the practice and hospital settings.
Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
Works with physician and Office Scheduling supervisor to set patient volumes for clinics where physicians do not receive extender assistance.
Coordinates new provider clinical orientation
Works collaboratively with the Credentialing office to assure compliance with provider credentialing.
Qualifications:
• Current unrestricted RN license in the state/s of practice location.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least three years of experience in a Cardiology office/Critical Care Unit/Cath Lab or Associates of Science in Nursing with at least five years of experience in a cardiology office/Critical Care Unit/Cath Lab.
• BLS & ACLS recognized by the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
