Nurse Practitioner

Clinic Providers: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant: Full-time. Roosevelt Medical Center is a small facility is looking for an NP or PA with an interest in caring for patients in our rural health clinic, a 25-bed critical access hospital with long-term care, and a 24-hour ER. We do not provide surgical or obstetrical services. This is a great opportunity for the mid-level provider who likes autonomy and the chance to maximize his/her skills and knowledge in primary care. This job is also for the mid-level provider who wants to develop long-term relationships with patients and provide care for an individual across the continuum from infancy through old age. For these services, we will pay a competitive salary with benefits. The mid-level provider will work with the Physician and other Physician’s Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioners. Providers see between 10 and 20 patients per day in the Rural Health Clinic. The average daily CAH inpatient census is 1. Long term care census is 23-24. The emergency room visits average 40-50 per month, so while on call, providers are not onsite but must be available to respond within 30 minutes. The mid-level provider interacts with facility quality activities. Full-service lab with blood banking and some bacteriology. Radiology services include basic x-ray and Toshiba CT with off-site radiologist over-read. RMC is a State-designated trauma receiving facility. This position could be right for a mid-level provider wanting to maintain full-time practice but at a slower and much more personal pace.
