Transplant Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Methodist Medical Group (MMG) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join The Liver Institute at its flagship campus in Dallas, TX. This outpatient role involves providing comprehensive care for liver transplant patients, focusing on surgical support, pre- and post-operative management, and patient education. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of physicians to enhance patient outcomes and support the growth of the transplant team.

Practice Info

• Outpatient care setting
• Collaborate closely with transplant surgeons, nursing staff, and other care team members

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care under physician supervision
• Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-operative management
• Manage patient care plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications
• Provide patient/family education

Shift & Schedule

• Full time position
• Monday - Friday, 8a-5p
• No call/weekends

Requirements

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
• Active Texas medical license
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a complex environment: ICU, Transplant/Transplant floor, multi specialty experience
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual preferred, but not required
