OverviewCommunity Health Partners is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Newborn Services rounding at Clovis Community Medical Center. In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive inpatient newborn care, working collaboratively with attending pediatricians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, family-centered care. Responsibilities include newborn admissions, daily rounding, clinical assessment and management, development of treatment plans, medical diagnosis, and prescribing appropriate therapies. Prior inpatient experience is referred but not required. The APP will support newborn patients and their families throughout the post-delivery continuum of care, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient experience. This role involves close collaboration with physicians, nursing staA, and the interdisciplinary are team to provide seamless, patient-centered care.In this role, you will: Provides direct assessment, evaluation and primary patient care, complying with medical protocols and procedures. Provides direct patient management in collaboration with physicians; participates in daily rounds, patient assessments and care plan development. Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's healthcare needs. Furnishes medications based upon written protocols. Ensures that patients are counseled regarding treatment plans and the use, dosage and possible side eAects of medications. Makes referrals to appropriate providers when patients require subspecialty medical attention beyond the area's scope of service. Document and maintain precise and complete records of patients. Distinguishes between normal and abnormal findings. Provides education, training, information and consultation services to interdisciplinary team, patients, family and caregivers. Assist and advise staff members on challenging cases, as needed.7. Refer patients to specialists or other practices, as appropriate.8. Maintain immaculate documentation of all procedures and practices.9.
