Position Summary

The Pediatrician provides high-quality, patient-centered medical care to children within the scope of Health West services and clinical guidelines. This role works collaboratively with clinical leadership and care teams to support quality outcomes, patient access, and community health.

The provider participates in team-based care, supports quality improvement initiatives, and helps advance Health West’s mission to serve underserved and diverse populations.

Schedule

Full-time, 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday.

Hospital privileges at a local hospital are required to provide newborn (NB) rounding as needed. Participation in a pediatric call group may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care using sound clinical judgment and Health West guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, behavioral health, and care teams to coordinate patient care
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants as applicable
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including chart reviews and clinical metrics (e.g., PCMH, UDS)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation, coding, and compliance with HIPAA standards
• Support a team-based, patient-centered care environment
• Participate in on-call coverage and maintain assigned schedule
• Maintain hospital privileges (if applicable) and required certifications (e.g., PALS)
• Travel to other clinic locations as needed to support pediatric services
• Engage in provider meetings, continuing education, and organizational initiatives

Health West is looking for an Advanced Practice Practitioner with at least 5 years of experience working in pediatrics. This person would provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care to children within the scope of Health West services and clinical guidelines. This role works collaboratively with clinical leadership and care teams to support quality outcomes, patient access, and community health.
