CV-ICCU patients are intermediate ICU level of care with an emphasis on cardiovascular disease processes. This unit is equipped with state-of-the art technology and provides every opportunity to provide world class-care to our community. Case types include: Status post Open Heart Surgeries: Status post Vascular Surgeries, CHF Exacerbations, Pulmonary Embolus or other DVT requiring advanced fibrinolytic therapy, Status Post TAVR.
NICU OPPORTUNITIES
The NICU unit is 23 bed designated by California Children’s Services providing care for infants as early as 24 weeks gestation. We have 8 overflow care beds, 23 private developmentally-friendly rooms for advanced care and family bonding, including a parent lounge where caregivers can decompress, shower and eat. Neonatologist on site 24/7. Advance monitoring and communications system, cycled lighting with noise precautions to reduce stress and enhance infant biological rhythms. Unit is equipped with the latest advancements in respiratory care. The most common need of a newborn in the NICU is respiratory support due to prematurity, pneumonia, transient tachypnea of the newborn, and sepsis. Such support includes the following: Oscillators, Conventional ventilators, CPAP, High flow nasal cannula, ROP screening by CCS paneled Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. D. Holt, Nurse-driven central line team (umbilical and PICC lines) and late Pre-term Infant Program specific to Kaweah Health.

ICCU-3W is a 31-bed Intermediate critical are unit that cares for stable critically ill patients with a variety of diagnosis. Patient
population is mainly medical which includes: neuro, strokes, respiratory distress, cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal, sepsis, and much more. The patient to nurse ratio is 3:1.

Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program.
