Job Summary
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to support the Internal Medicine Practice and to provide coverage when the providers are out of the office. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and Treat acute and chronic Illness Perform age-appropriate history and physical Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments to patient’s age specific need Monitor the effectiveness of treatments Provide education of acute and chronic medical conditions Managing Chronic Medical Conditions Reconciling medication list Facilitating appointments to specialist Providing thorough exams and evaluations of patient’s health status Facilitate appropriate chronic care management (i.e. Diabetic eye exams, foot exams and nutritional counseling) Preventive Medicine Keeping track of and referring patient to appropriate preventive medical screenings (e.g. Mammograms and Colonoscopies) Counseling and reinforcing patients in healthy life style habits
