Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Community Health Center of Lubbock (CHCL) seeks to hire an experienced Texas licensed Family Nurse Practitioner who has a heart for working with low-income and underserved populations. This position plays a vital role in our goal to serve our patients, their families and support physicians in the community. Duties include:

• Provide patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of the designated supervising staff physician
• Obtain medical and personal histories
• Perform initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
• Educate patients and families
• Prioritize and assess patients
• Provide primary care through wellness visits and assessment
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses to a variety of patients
• Maintain standard universal precautions
• Prescribe medications and completes treatments according to office policies and within age-specific parameters.
• Maintain and complete all necessary patient record documentation
• Other duties as assigned
