Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Clinician is responsible for providing primary medical care to patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Practice medicine within the scope of the primary care program
· Analyze medical history, reports, findings of tests, and examination to determine conditions/diagnosis and provide appropriate treatments
· Promote health by advising patients about diet, behaviors, and methods for prevention of disease
· Perform procedures within scope of primary care program and the providers surgical competency/privileges
· Refer patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary
· Assist in outreach efforts as requested
· Share in the after-hours calls as appropriate
· Familiar with using electronic health record (Ex. Athena)
· Monitor, and where applicable, oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care
· Other duties as assigned.
