Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination and diagnostic testing data; develop a diagnosis, initiate treatment and health maintenance plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures; refer patients to collaborating physician, specialist and/or appropriate community services or agencies; prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment• Leadership. Provide health education, instruction, guidance and advisement to patients regarding medication and treatment; counsel family members and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs• Administrative Duties. Perform administrative functions to include completing insurance and when time permits, medical discharge documentation, providing guidance and teaching to ancillary personnel, communicating with and counseling family members, preparing daily billing sheets. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
