Birth Center Midwife

San Francisco Birth Center is seeking a temporary, full-time staff midwife to join their established freestanding birth center. This role primarily involves prenatal care, birth, and postpartum care, with a focus on serving families from historically disenfranchised communities. The ideal candidate will have community birth experience and knowledge of group prenatal care, with the potential for the position to become permanent after an initial 6+ month temporary period.

Practice Info

• Freestanding birth center in San Francisco
• Approximately 6-10 births/month
• Small team of CNMs and CPMs
• Focus on increasing access and improving outcomes for families from communities who have historically been systemically disenfranchised and ignored

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal care
• Provide birth care
• Provide postpartum care
• Conduct both private and group prenatals

Compensation

• Salary: $100,000
• Salary negotiable depending on hours

Shift & Schedule

• Temp to Full Time
• Fulltime staff midwife

Requirements

• Experience as a community birth midwife
• Knowledge of group prenatal care
• Available for 6+ months
• LM/CPM or CNM
