Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive pediatric primary care services, promoting preventive health, and improving health outcomes for underserved populations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Conduct well-child exams, developmental screenings, and annual preventive visits.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
• Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Administer and recommend immunizations according to established guidelines.
• Educate patients and families regarding growth and development, nutrition, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, behavioral health providers, nurses, specialists, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive women's health services, including annual wellness exams, gynecological care, family planning, contraceptive counseling, and preventive screenings.
• Deliver prenatal and postpartum care in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions affecting women's health.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and treatment plans.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, screenings, and procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality, integrated care.
• Support VNA Health Care's mission of improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare disparities.
