The Family Medicine Physician works as part of the medical provider team providing medical services to Community Health Center of Lubbock (CHCL) patients. In addition, Family Medicine Physicians, unless specifically exempted by the Medical Director, shall be qualified to serve on the Medical Staff of a local hospital and supervise community health center nurse practitioners, as appropriate. Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
