Westside Family Healthcare is a nonprofit organization that provides high quality primary medical care without regard to ability to pay. The nurse is on-site RN who directly supports assigned care teams by managing high and rising risk patients. The Westside nurser will case-manage patients/populations who are most at risk for health deterioration, sentinel events and/or poor health outcomes; including but not limited to: coumadin patients; uncontrolled/poorly controlled DM patients, prenatal patients, high utilization ER/hospital patients and any other patient requiring additional support to achieve healthy outcomes. The Nurse will work closely with the Clinical Floor Supervisor to coordinate day-to-day clinical care efforts, including but not limited to identifying and implementing nurse interventions to improve patient health outcomes.

The Dentist is a member of the clinical team and works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to integrate primary medical care with oral health services. The Dentist is responsible for primary dental services for patients of Westside Family Healthcare. All activities are carried out within the scope of organizational policies and procedures as established by the Board of Directors and under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
