Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Purpose: The nurse practitioner helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Performing independently or as part of a treatment team in educating patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. Will also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's primary healthcare provider and prescribe medications.
Salary: 130,000 (Base Salary)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows all PCMH procedure and policies.
- Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication for children and adults.
- Performs comprehensive history, physical, and psychosocial assessment to patients attending the clinic.
- Diagnoses and treats common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma within legally accepted protocols in collaboration with the physician.
- Develops a treatment plan on every patient.
- Assesses the client's psychosocial, emotional, physiologic and environmental needs and priorities.
- Informs, teaches, counsels, and guides the patients to assume responsibility for the management of his or her own health care.
- Schedules appointments for the clients and makes arrangements for consultations and referrals as needed. Evaluates the client's response to the medical treatment and revises the plan of care as appropriate.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Participates in grand rounds and case conferences.
- Acts as a role model and resource person for those who are working directly and indirectly with the clients.
- Other Clinical and/or administrative duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Medical Provider or Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- The American Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate
- Active NJ Nurse Practitioner licensure, Current DEA registration and CDS
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

To provide patients with high quality oral health to patients of all ages, is proficient in performing regular checkups and complex dental procedures and is committed to the highest quality of patient care.
Base Salary: $134,000.00
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate or participate in training and orientation programs as needed.
- Participate in organizational committees to ensure quality improvement, dental management.
- Accomplishes dentistry using pharmacological adjuncts depending on individual circumstances and dentist qualifications.
- Consult with the medical staff in cases showing oral manifestations of medical conditions.
- The dentist is available for consultation by the medical staff in cases of oral pathology and other related conditions of common interest.
- Fabricates treatment plan for patients experiencing oral trauma, oral pain, oral infection, and other pathology.
- Conducts a program of preventive dentistry, dental education, and oral hygiene.
- Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gingiva, mucosa, and related oral structures with reasonable patient acceptable sensitivity.
Requirements:
- DMD/DDS from accredited Dental School and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Valid NJ Dental License. CDS, DEA, and CPR
- Board Certified in Dentistry
- Experience working in a Clinical Environment
- Excellent communication, bedside manner, & organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain and legibly document a patient's medical history as well as any other pertinent patient information while utilizing the Electronic Health Record of the organization. Locking your notes within 24 hours of seeing the patient.
- Examine patients in order to assess their overall general physical health in addition to the presence of any diseases or injuries.
- Evaluate the etiology and extent of any disease or injury.
- Prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment that you are licensed/certified to do including immigration exam or CDL exams completing all documents required by local, state and governmental agencies.
- Establish preventive health practices and create care plans within the Electronic Health Records.
- Lead morning huddles and set up standing orders.
- Participate in the evaluation of patient care through chart audits examining medical records for legibility, completeness, and accuracy (i.e. date, time, signature of each entry, etc.)
- Facilitate or participate in training and orientation programs as needed.
- Perform a variety of other medical, clinical, or administrative duties that may be periodically assigned at the discretion of the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer.
- Participate in organizational committees to ensure quality improvement, medical management, and maintenance of Joint Commission Accreditation or other credentialing organization.
- Participate in the clinical education of students.
- Serve as Collaborating physician for mid-level providers, occasionally.
- Participate fully in all audits, inspections and program reviews.

Education:

PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to provide general nursing care and leadership, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. The RN will promote and restore patient’s health as they assess, provide, delegate, evaluate and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care through the use of the nursing process for patients of all ages, gender, cultures, and background; provide physical and psycho-social support to patients, friends, and families. As well as oversee clinical care of other personnel including LPN’s, care co-coordinators and MA’s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides emotional support continuously as needed to solidify patient-nurse trusting/working relationship and to decrease anxiety experienced by patients.
- Reviews normal labs and diagnostic results with patients to increase knowledge base and empower them in the best way possible.
- Triages all walk-in patients/ problem telephone calls by conducting and documenting acuity of illness/medical problem and taking appropriate steps to a successful/safe resolution.
- Instructs and educates patients regarding laboratory diagnostic procedures and assists with laboratory test(s) performed on site.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate departmental inventory of vaccinations and supplies; Maintain VFC database.

Requirements
Computer Skills - Must be computer savvy; having a general knowledge of Microsoft Office. The Registered Nurse will be required to undergo ECW training.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Active NJ RN License, BLS/ACLS certification. Prior clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred, especially in an out-patient setting.

- Dispose of hazardous material using HAZMAT protocols.
