Nurse Midwife

HealthPoint is seeking a skilled Midwife to join their team in launching a new Kent East Hill clinic. This exciting opportunity involves expanding access to integrated care, including primary care, behavioral health, pregnancy care, and dental services. The successful candidate will contribute to building a new practice while advancing HealthPoint's mission of providing equitable, whole-person care to the community.

• Community-based, community-supported, and community-governed non-profit health center network
• Provides full scope midwifery care in ambulatory, community, and inpatient settings

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic, and in-patient care consistent with evidence-based, trauma informed, culturally appropriate care consistent with midwifery standards
• Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and the need for follow-up
• Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records and superbills
• Work in collaboration with midwife colleagues and FP w/ OBs to ensure intrapartum clinical practice is closely aligned
• Provide inpatient care to include prenatal, intrapartum, post-partum, and newborn care, with appropriate training
• Participate in shared call system, including OB call, with other providers
• Administer medications and perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with HealthPoint credentialing policy
• Provide consultation to other clinic providers and collaborate with outside specialists for consultation referrals, and comanaging care
• Precept students and MD/DO residents

Compensation

• Salary range: $128,428 to $157,420 annually
• Compensation is dependent on skills and experience

Requirements

• Graduate from a Midwifery Education Accreditation Council-approved midwifery program
• ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner)
• Board certified or board eligible by the American Midwifery Certification Board (ACMB)
• Maintain current registration/licensure as an ARNP in the state of Washington
• Experience providing midwifery care, with expected volume, to demonstrate competency in core aspects of care
• Comfort with patient centered, non-judgmental options counseling
• Trained in basic ultrasound and providing group-based care
• Demonstrated operating knowledge of computers; Intermediate level ability with Word, Outlook, and other required software programs
• Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start (HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination; if received, documentation of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series is required)
• Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer is required
