POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing comprehensive oral hygiene care to dental patients including the cleaning of teeth and gums as well as other applicable accepted procedures; communicates to patients, information relevant to the care of teeth and oral cavity; including appropriate dietary information; may assist dentist during specific procedures on patients; may take and develop x-rays, may also participate in dental training.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from a two-year Dental Hygiene program. Current New York State license is required. Must also have current BLS and infection control certifications.
