Physician Assistant

This Physician Assistant position involves providing direct patient care services, including complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, within the scope of authority granted by the North Carolina State Boards of Medical Examiners and Nursing. The role requires independent scheduling, supervision, and execution of patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to manage patient needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care while working under indirect physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete physical exams, obtain medical history, and interpret/record findings.
• Order and obtain appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies/tests.
• Interpret and integrate data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
• Provide direct patient care services including instruction, education, counseling, and medication recommendations.
• Coordinate and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, explaining necessity and anticipated effects to patients.
• Review, write, and renew medication prescriptions corresponding to standing orders or supervising physician's advice.
• Document, update, and maintain patient records.
• Carry out patient care services under indirect physician supervision, such as suture removal, catheterizations, and wound debridements.

Requirements

• Completion of certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Working knowledge of data processing equipment, computers, and typical office machines.
• Maintain effective written and oral communication and English skills.
• Maintain current North Carolina PA License, with a letter of approval from the NC Medical Board.
• CPR certification.
• NC driver's license.
• No visa sponsorship available.
