Physician Assistant

The Physician Assistant is responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice model setting; provides comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis, and may, at certain locations, provide a continuum of care into inpatient and/or residential settings; may be responsible for medical assistant (MA) clinical supervision and continuing verification of the MAs clinical skills competency.

Nurse Practitioner

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice model setting; provides comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis.

Sierra Nevada Family Health Center is one of 20 Nevada Health Center's outpatient primary care health centers. Serving a population of approximately 60,000 people, the clinic is open Monday thru Friday, 7am to 6pm and staffed daily by MD/DOs, mid-level practitioners, and a support staff of 14 with approximately 5,500 patients and 15,800 visits annually.

The clinic provides services in family medicine, women's health services, pediatric services, D.O.T. physicals, occupational health services, STD/HIV education, family planning, periodic screenings for kids & adults, well-child care and immunizations, newborn care, chronic illness management, behavioral health and health education.

Lead Physician/Principal Investigator Clinical Research

The Physician Lead is responsible for the overall guidance of medical care services in a region or clinical specialty; assists the Chief Medical Officer in developing and implementing the Health Care Plan; ensure quality health care services are available; provides direct clinical services.

Principal Investigator will serve as lead physician for the award, execution, and management of clinical trials. They are accountable for ensuring compliance with regulations, ethical standards and the supervision of research staff.
