(3 specifically at EROI) · Is there a specific start date needed? o As soon as possible. Definitely beginning in September. · Duration of need? o Ongoing until recruited. · What’s the schedule? On-site, call coverage, weekends, nights o Are there specific dates needed? § All dates and times needed. Shifts are typically morning and mid shift. o If call is involved, what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? § No call o Call/Rotation schedule? § No call · Will they take an APP (or SFA when applicable)? o NP or PA with ED experience · Who should be the timesheet approver each week? o Cynthia Bonnette · What are expectations for orientation? (ie, shadow day? EMR training?) o APP will receive EMR training as well as a shadow shift. Candidate Parameters · Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? o Basic ER procedures. Laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, etc. · Experience level? o Preferably no new grads. Credentialing questions: · Will emergency privileges be an option? o Will review case-by-case · Are case logs needed? If so, what are the requirements? o Yes Hospital/unit questions · Number of beds? o 10 beds 1 trauma bay · Census? o 80 pts/day · How many daily admissions? o ~3.5% · Are there any consults and if so, how many per day? o Not many if any · What’s the patient population? o Mostly lvl 4’s and 5’s · Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? o Mostly lvl 4’s and 5’s. Not a trauma center this is a FSED. It is affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center which is a lvl 2 trauma center. · What does the support staff look like? o 24 hrs doc coverage and 2-4 nurses plus 1 imaging tech 24/7 · How will follow up cases be handled? (when applicable- inpatient or outpatient) o Referrals mostly outpatient Specialty Specific Questions: APP · What are the shift times? o 9a-9p o 3p-1a · Is call involved? o No call · How many patients are they rounding on per day? o No rounding. This is an ED · Will they round in the ICU? o No this is an ED · What does support staff include? o 24 hrs doc coverage and 2-4 nurses plus 1 imaging tech 24/7 o · Are procedures and vent management required? o Yes procedures are required.
