Open Door Community Health Centers is hiring a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for our Redwood Pediatric & Women's Health Services (RPS) team in Eureka, Ca. This full-scope CNM position includes both OB&GYN clinic care and OB call and deliveries coverage is preferred but not required. .
What You’ll Do
- Provide prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological care in a clinic setting
- Manage labor and delivery as part of standard OB call rotation
- Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and wellness
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to support patient-centered care
- Perform exams, screenings, and interpret lab results

SUMMARY: The Core Faculty functions as a member of the Family Medicine Residency Faculty team with responsibilities that will focus on a broad array of primary care and includes teaching of residents with a focus of continuity of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clinical supervision and precepting of residents
- Provision of direct patient care
- Didactic teaching for residents
- Serving as an advisor and role model for residents
- Participation and leadership in quality improvement and patient safety activities
- Participation in program clinical competency and program evaluation committees
- Attends and participates in Quality Assurance activities. Makes recommendations to the Quality Assurance committee about necessary and appropriate Quality Assurance activities and in-service training
- Participation in application review and interview of candidates for residency position
- Receives complaints about medical personnel and works to resolve problems in accordance with established clinic policies and procedures
- Adherence to ODCHC’s attendance policy
- Participation in the Practitioner’s share of coverage duties, clinical supervision, and teaching
- Learner remediation as required and directed by the program director
- Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor
ESSENTIAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Clinical activity: minimum of 0.4 FTE working at ODCHC clinic
- Precepting activity: minimum of 0.3 FTE precepting residents in their continuity clinic
- Administrative time: 0.3 FTE for residency program. Time is to be used for core faculty duties as noted above.
- The above will be regularly evaluated by the Program Director and ODCHC Clinical Leadership team and can change depending on the program’s current need.
- All moonlighting activities shall not to interfere with the responsibilities, assigned clinic and precepting schedule, and performance within the primary role as Core Faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
