ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
Providers are integral members of the clinical team. The Physician Assistant (PA) provides cost-effective services to low-income families and individuals, with a special focus on delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate health and wellness services to the residents of the community. This position includes provider floater coverage responsibilities, which entails stepping into various roles as needed to ensure continuity of care across the clinic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
Responsible for administering, maintaining, and expanding a program of primary and preventive dental care for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The Dental Director supervises the dental staff of Kheir Clinic and represents the dental staff to the Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director (CMO). The Dental Director provides dental advice and counsel to the CMO and strategic counsel to Organizational leadership. The Dental Director interfaces with external agencies regarding oral health initiatives as appropriate. The Dental Director will serve as a role model to dental staff and create a positive working environment. In addition, the Dental Director performs a variety of administrative and patient treatment duties to ensure the delivery of dental services to clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: (Required)
• Valid state license with California Dental Board and eligible to practice Dentistry in California.
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience in General Dentistry
• Minimum 5 years of management experience preferred
Skills

The LCSW works in tandem with members of the medical and behavioral health team to manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases, apply behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues and provide consultation in the treatment of mental disorders and psychosocial issues. ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
Providers are integral members of the clinical team. The Physician Assistant (PA) provides cost-effective services to low-income families and individuals, with a special focus on delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate health and wellness services to the residents of the community. The PA must be committed to delivering timely, efficient, quality medical care to all patients in a professional, caring, and ethical manner. This position includes provider floater coverage responsibilities, which entails stepping into various roles as needed to ensure continuity of care across the clinic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Physician Assistant License and DEA license.
• BLS Certificate.
• Knowledge of nursing processes and medical models, health and physical assessment, medical diagnosis, and appropriate treatments.
• Ability to perform emergency resuscitation.

• Attends Practice Management and Quality Control Meetings.
• Assists in the training of support staff.

• This position requires the Physician Assistant to prescribe independently and manage their own DEA-regulated prescribing responsibilities. Prescriptions may not be deferred to a supervising physician except as required by law.

• Works in a team-based setting where physicians routinely provide support, consultation, and supervision to APPs as part of standard Community Health Center operations.

Kheir Clinic is a teaching institution. Physicians are expected to provide appropriate supervision and mentorship to residents (PGY1, PGY2, PGY3), medical students, nursing students, and fellows. This responsibility is recognized as an integral part of the physician’s role in advancing education and patient care at Kheir Clinic. Teaching and supervisory duties are included within the scope of employment and are encompassed in the overall compensation and benefits provided to physicians.
