POSITION SUMMARY
1. Works within a multi-disciplinary care team to provide patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care. Provides patient care to approximately 20 patients per full day of clinic. Provides clinical leadership within the team.
2. Works within our call team of FM-OB and OB-Gyn physicians. Monitors and treats patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including delivery and postnatal care.
3. Expected patient care includes
• Outpatient clinic
• Inpatient Labor call
• GYN surgery and surgical follow-up
• OB Backup
4. Participates in organizational mission to provide distinctively Christian healthcare
5. Participates in continuing medical education, including Life Support Training, to maintain the skills necessary to perform physician duties and as required by applicable medical boards and the State.
6. Documents all patient encounters in a timely manner in hospital and/or clinic health record.
7. Communicates across departments including behavioral and spiritual health. 10. Attends staff meetings and medical provider meetings and maintain a level of involvement with the health center committees as needed to ensure quality of care for patients.
8. Physicians are to participate in peer review, performance evaluations/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate and advance quality improvement measures.
9. Collaborate with and supervises nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) as appropriate and may assist in the educational training of Medical Students and Residents.
10. Other duties as assigned by the Chair of Medicine
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited institution of medicine or osteopathy
Experience: Completion of residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellowship in Family Medicine Obstetrics or an extended residency program with substantial and identifiable obstetrics training,
Licenses or Certifications: Board Certification (or eligible) in obstetrics and gynecology and/or Board Certification in Family Medicine as applicable; Eligible to obtain state licensure to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee.
Mental Requirements Requires a high level of concentration and high level of attention intermittently. Generally, the approach to tasks may be consistent, but the number of steps required and/or the number of variables involved creates the possibility of errors unless the incumbent pays close attention.
Approximate percentage of time incumbent spends in “on-the-job” travel, excluding commuting to regular work location: 5%
Working Conditions
Involves exposure to patients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds including patients with mental illness, infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, and body tissues.
Expected patient care hours include:
• Outpatient clinic: average 4-5 half-day shifts per week
• Inpatient Labor call: average 24 hours per week plus shared weekend coverage
• Additional call is compensated

POSITION SUMMARY
Physicians will provide professional comprehensive medical services for ambulatory and hospitalized CCHS patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The physician will provide professional medical services for outpatients on a part time or full time basis as described in their contracts.
2. The physician will perform duties specified by their respective hospitals to maintain admitting privileges in order to provide diagnosis and treatment of clinical disease in patients who require hospitalization. Physicians will participate in the call rotation on a schedule that may fluctuate depending on staffing.
3. The physician will attend staff meetings and medical provider meetings and maintain a level of involvement with the health center committees as needed to ensure quality of care for patients.
4. Providers are to participate in peer review, performance evaluations/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate and advance quality improvement measures.
5. Provider expectations regarding quantity are roughly 20 patients per day.
6. The physician will collaborate with nurse practitioners or physician assistants as appropriate, and may be asked to assist in the educational training of Medical Students and Residents.
7. Physicians are expected to participate in Continuing Medical Education, including Life Support Training, etc., to maintain the skills necessary to perform their duties and as required by their boards and the state.
8. Physicians are expected to sustain the health necessary to perform their duties and maintain current Immunizations/PPD Status.
9. The physician is expected to notify CCHS about any problems that occur regarding drugs, felonies, discipline, loss of license or privileges, or other serious issues.
10. The physician will perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.

While working, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide professional comprehensive primary medical services for ambulatory CCHS patients in collaboration with health center staff physicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide care for outpatients within their scope of training in collaboration with CCHS physicians. Medical care will consist of assessment, ordering and interpretation of data, development and implementation of a therapeutic plan including prescription writing, referrals and procedures within their capacity of expertise, protocols and available equipment and appropriate follow up.
2. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will attend staff meetings and provider meetings and maintain a level of involvement with the health center committees as needed to ensure quality of care of patients.
3. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is to participate in peer review, performance evaluations and improvement data, and other activities to assess and advance quality improvement measures.
4. Provider expectations regarding productivity are roughly 20 patients per day.
5. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will collaborate with CCHS health center staff physicians as appropriate, and may be asked to assist in the educational training of Students.
6. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is expected to participate in Continuing Medical Education, including Life Support Training, etc., to maintain the skills necessary to perform their duties and as required by their certifying boards and the state.
7. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is expected to sustain the health necessary to perform their duties and maintain current Immunization and PPD status.
8. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is expected to notify CCHS about any problems that occur regarding Drugs, Felonies, Discipline, Loss of License or Privileges, or other serious issues.

Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
