Our DA role is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the center. Dental Assistants play a vital role in a dental procedure and in the dental practice by working to assist the patient and Doctor in various ways that allow for the procedure and practice to flow seamlessly.
Dental Assistants tasks include seating the patient, verifying the patient’s identity, obtaining vitals, preparing the chair for the procedure (including obtaining X-rays prescribed by the provider, assisting the provider during the procedure and sterilization.
Dental Assistants support with preparing patients for oral examination, assisting in providing treatment, all aspects of chair-side assisting, documenting in the Electric Health Records System (EHR), assisting Hygienist, and other duties assigned.
