Certified Nurse Midwife

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their team at the Brookside San Pablo Health Center (BSP). This role involves providing comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological health services within a community clinic setting. The successful candidate will contribute to a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to serving underserved populations in the East Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Provides prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological health care including: screening, health maintenance and disease prevention, management of acute and chronic gynecological conditions, and making appropriate referrals and follow-up for diagnostic and specialty services
• Acts as the Perinatal Lead at Howard Daniel, including leading monthly multidisciplinary team meetings, participating in central perinatal team leader meetings, and providing clinical support to new department members
• Coordinates care with other health team members including behavioral health staff
• Acts as an advocate for the patient and liaison with outside agencies as appropriate
• Provides verbal and written education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintains patient records necessary for clinic reporting, billing, and quality improvement
• Consults with LifeLong physicians as appropriate
• Participates in quality performance activities and improvement initiatives

Compensation

• $127,504 - $151,153.60/year depending on years since licensed and pro-rated to FTE

Requirements

• Commitment and demonstrated ability to care for a variety of people from underserved populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic and cultural origins
• Positive approach to caring for patients in partnership with colleagues
• Ability to take initiative, work independently under minimum supervision and make sound judgments within established guidelines
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals from a wide range of ages, abilities, and backgrounds
• Ability to work in a team environment with a number of licensed and non-licensed staff with different work styles and support needs
• Current California CNM license, including furnishing license
• Minimum of one year experience delivering perinatal and gynecological care to people across the lifespan
• Community clinic experience preferred
• Experience as part of a team-based care model preferred
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic, strongly preferred
• Experience working with language translation services is desirable
