POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services through the identification, management and/or referral of the health problems and the maintenance of the client’s health by means of preventive care and health promotion. Will perform assignments, which can vary from routine to exceptional in nature and are carried out with minimal guidance in accordance with clinic office practices and procedures. OUR CORE VALUES
Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment. Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award (up to $37,500). Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
What that's worth here: a provider carrying a $100,000 balance who takes this role and serves the initial two-year commitment would be debt-free in roughly 10 years — the NHSC award first, then PSLF forgiveness of the remainder (FQHCs are qualifying PSLF employers).
