ACCESS Family Care is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our integrated behavioral health team within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to patients across the lifespan.

The PMHNP works collaboratively with primary care providers, therapists, and the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and evidence-based treatment for mental health and substance use disorders, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). This position plays a key role in improving access, continuity, and outcomes for underserved populations.

The Medication Provider assesses clients and, when appropriate, prescribes medications to ensure the behavioral health needs of individuals enrolled in the program are met.

• Conduct medical and psychiatric assessments with diagnostic formulation and documentation of medical necessity.
• Screen for required medical, psychological, neurological, and other specialized evaluations.
• Educate clients on medication effects and appropriate steps in the event of adverse reactions.
• Provide ongoing medication management services.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external providers to ensure effective continuity of care.
• Participate in limited on-call rotation for urgent or emergent client needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Behavioral Health Director.

Education:

• Master’s degree (minimum requirement)

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, integrated care environment

Professional Certification:

• Active license with prescribing authority in the State of Missouri

Experience:

• Training in prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications

• Work is primarily performed in an office or clinic setting.
• Regular use of phones, computers, and related technology is expected.
• No special working conditions apply.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Occasional travel, including trips requiring several hours in a vehicle.
• Light lifting or moving of items up to 20 pounds

ACCESS Family Care – Southwest Missouri

ACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) to join our growing team. This role provides integrated behavioral health support within our primary care clinics and plays a key part in improving patient outcomes through brief interventions, assessments, and collaborative care.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Some flexibility in hours based on patient needs.
• Travel: Local travel required between ACCESS Family Care clinic locations.
