Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Medicine care team. This role provides comprehensive primary care services, managing common acute and chronic health conditions across the lifespan.

The PA functions as an interdependent member of the healthcare team through direct patient care, consultation, collaboration, coordination, and referral. This position practices to the full scope of licensure in accordance with State and Federal regulations while supporting TFHC’s Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide patient care focused on health promotion, disease prevention, and health restoration
• Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and medical assessments
• Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies
• Prescribe medications and manage follow-up care in accordance with clinical guidelines and licensure
• Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Participate in daily care team huddles and coordinated care planning
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor to PA, APRN, and nursing students, as applicable
• Float between clinic locations as operational needs require
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to address care gaps and improve patient outcomes
• Ensure patient rights, privacy, dignity, and safety are upheld
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and positive patient and community relations
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, State, Federal, HRSA, and TFHC policies and regulations
