Certified Nurse Midwife

Alivio Medical Center is seeking a full-time, bilingual (Spanish/English) Pediatrician to join its practice. The Pediatrician provides primary care medical services to pediatric patients at Alivio Medical Center. The physician is directly responsible for performing and recording patient health history, patient examination and diagnosis, recommendations of medical treatment, rendering of on-site treatment and hospitalization services as necessary. The physician is also responsible for appropriate documentation in the patient medical record.

The Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is an individual educated in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery which possesses evidence of certification according to the requirements of the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).

At Alivio Medical Center, the CNM provides care to low risk women, antepartally, intrapartally, postpartally and/or gynecologically. Midwifery practice at Alivio occurs within an integrated health care setting which provides for medical consultation, collaborative management and referral, and is in accord with the standard for nurse-midwifery practice as defined by the AMCB.

Alivio Medical Center is seeking a full-time Family Physician. The Family Physician is directly responsible for performing and recording patient health history, patient examination and diagnosis, recommendations of medical treatment, rendering of on-site treatment and hospitalization services as necessary.

The Primary Care Physician is directly responsible for performing and recording patient health history, patient examination and diagnosis, recommendations of medical treatment, rendering of on-site treatment and hospitalization services as necessary. The physician is also responsible for appropriate documentation in the patient chart.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages patient medical care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Maintains appropriate documentation on patient clinical records
• Participates in Alivio Medical Center’s Quality Assurance activities and clinical committees as assigned
• Maintains weekly office hours as negotiated in Principles of Practice including evening and Saturday hours, as required
• Participates in continuing medical education to meet standards of retaining license and Board Certification
• Participates in team conferences, health education, staff meetings, and committees as needed
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
