Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking an outpatient Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to provide psychiatric services in their Behavioral Health sites and medical clinics. The ARNP will be an integral part of a care team, focusing on psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and collaborating with staff to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care. Practice Info

• Outpatient Behavioral Health sites and medical clinics
• Clients in the Behavioral Health Program have access to counseling and case management services
• Clients seen at medical clinics will be seen for evaluation and medication follow-up
• Does not provide counseling services
• Part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensive services
• Works collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations with clients/patients to determine psychiatric diagnosis
• Provide ongoing medication review services to assess the effects of prescribed medication
• Consult with Behavioral Health clinical staff and Sea Mar medical clinic providers on diagnosis, medications, and other treatment considerations
• Be available by phone for emergency review of medications and their effects, or for refilling prescriptions
• Provide phone consultation with Sea Mar physicians for initial medication prescriptions until clients can be seen for a face-to-face psychiatric/medication review
• Document psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, and all other client contacts in charts
• Maintain a Psychiatric Medication Chart, make copies of all prescriptions, and obtain necessary medication consent signatures from each client
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served

Compensation

Requirements

• Mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine
• Experience RN licensed in the State of Washington
• Licensed as a psychiatric nurse (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) with more than five years of experience providing psychiatric services
• Must be bi-cultural
• Must be bilingual Spanish/English
• MHP, prefer certification as minority Mental Health Specialist as prescribed by WAC
• Must have and maintain TB test annually
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment
• No visa sponsorship available
• No history or evidence of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three (3) years immediately prior to the date of employment, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed
