The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is based in the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands. The position provides primary care, walk-in urgent care, and emergency services (provide consultation and collaboration to the Community Health Aide/Practitioners who take call 24 hours per day). The APP provides the various categories of care as noted above, making independent clinical decisions with consultation and collaboration with physicians from the Southcentral Foundation (SCF) and/or Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC).

Federally Qualified Health Centers participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Clinicians who serve at least two years full-time at an FQHC can receive up to $75,000 in tax-free loan repayment (or up to $100,000 in some Substance Use Disorder Workforce categories). Half-time service is also eligible at a reduced award. Eligibility extends to NPs, PAs, CNMs, CRNAs, and physicians with qualifying education debt.
