Certified Nurse Midwife

DAP Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Float) to join their dynamic team, dedicated to transforming lives and advancing health equity. Practice Info

• This position is on-site at a DAP Health clinic.
• Works collaboratively with all members of the health center to build a supportive team.
• Supervises medical assistants and lab personnel in the area of specific support services for patient care delivery (for Physician Assistant).

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret medical and psycho-social histories; perform physical examinations; identify problems; formulate a plan of treatment; provide education and referral; and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions prescribed (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Independently assess and treat patients as clinically indicated (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Perform or order laboratory tests and interpret the results as part of health management (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Order medications (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Meet clinical quality performance measures (UDS and HEDIS measures) (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Conduct health teaching and counseling during the medical encounter (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Complete the client's clinical record documentation in a timely manner (if Nurse Practitioner).
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled (if Nurse Practitioner).

Compensation

• New hire bonus of $10,000 for this position.

Shift & Schedule

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Available for all shifts and, when required, able to work evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program required.
• Valid CA Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification required.
• Valid CA DEA license required.
• Maintain CMEs/CEUs required for licensure.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity to interface with the computer and perform medical procedures as indicated.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals both internally and externally.
• Degree in Nursing (if NP requirements).
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (if NP requirements).
• Licensed to practice as a CA Nurse Practitioner and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the State of California (if NP requirements).
• Certified by ANCC or AANP (if NP requirements).
• Valid BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire (if NP requirements).
• Experience working for a non-profit organization or clinic preferred (if NP requirements).
• Experience working with Epic preferred (if NP requirements).
• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred (if NP requirements).
• Experience working with the LGBTQ and Transgender populations preferred (if NP requirements).
• Experience working with the homeless population preferred (if NP requirements).
• Experience working with HIV+ persons preferred (if NP requirements).
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred (if NP requirements).
• Current State of California Physician Assistant License (if PA requirements).
• Current valid Federal Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (if PA requirements).
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant (if PA requirements).
• Valid BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire (if PA requirements).
• Requires current and valid driver's license and current personal auto insurance.
